  • Academicians: 300€
  • International participants: 200€
  • Domestic participants: 150€

Early bird registration fees are valid until 17 April 2020.

Cancellations made before June 1, 2020 will be refunded in full while cancellations made after this date will be partial (50% of the paid amount).

For those who require it, accommodations at “STUDENTSKI CENTAR IZ” is available (1/1 and 1/2 rooms). This is also the venue for SIFEC 2020.

SIFSS 2020 is postponed for Autumn 2020 due to the Coronavirus pandemic. 

Dates will be set when international flights to Sarajevo become available again and gatherings of larger groups are allowed.

PhD Velid Efendić,
Associate professor at the School of Economics and Business. Programme manager at SEBS & UoB MA programme in Islamic banking. Head of the Centre for Islamic Economics Banking and Finance at School of Economics and Business Sarajevo.

Dr. Humayon Dar, 
Director General of Cambridge Institute of Islamic Finance, he possesses impeccable academic credentials and practical knowledge to influence policymaking on Islamic finance in the world, especially in the 57-member countries of OIC.

Dr. Monzer Kahf, Consultant/Trainer/Lecturer, Islamic banking, finance and economics: Private practice, California, USA, 1999 to present.

Dr. Nihat Gümüş,                 Assistant Professor at İbn Haldun university Istanbul. Completed the PhD program on Finance at Bogazici University . Distinguished professor in following areas: Islamic Finance, Corporate Finance, Banking, Financial Sector Regulation, Capital Markets, Sustainable Development Goals, Financial Inclusion.

Dr. Ruşen Ahmet Albayrak,                Has been working for Kuwait Turkish Participation Bank as Executive Vice President since 2005. Until October 2012 he led Banking Service Group, being effective onward from same date, he was assigned to Treasury and International Banking Group of the Bank.

PhD Natalie Schoon, 
Advisory and training for financial institutions in treasury, risk management, and Islamic finance. Author of Islamic Asset Management (2008)

PhD Meliha Bašić,
professor at the School of Economics and Business at the University of Sarajevo. She is also an expert in accounting and finance. 

 Torkel Brekke,                             Deputy Director and Research Professor at the Peace Research Institute Oslo (PRIO). He is also a research theme leader at the Centre for Research on Extremism (C-REX) at the University of Oslo and works part time for the liberal think tank Civita.

PhD Azra Zaimović, 
Assistant Professor at the School of Economics and Business, University of Sarajevo. Licensed broker and dealer and investment advisor.

PhD Alija Avdukić, 
Lecturer at Markfield Institute of Higher Education (MIHE), Head of the Islamic Finance Department. Visiting Lecturer at Al-Maktoum College and SEBS.

PhD Ivana Hrdličková, 
President of the Special Tribunal for Lebanon at the Hague. Holds a PhD with a focus on the relationship between international and Islamic law.

PhD Mohamed Asmadi, 
Dean and professor at the Islamic Business School, College of Business, Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM). Member of the Shariah Advisory Council of Central Bank of Malaysia (BNM), and Securities Commission of Malaysia since 2014.

PhD Okan Acar, 
Kuveyt Turk Bank Private Banking and Wealth Management Group Manager. Holds a PhD in Finance from Istanbul University.
